Borkovac lake lies on the southern slopes of Fruska gora, in the town of Ruma, only 40 kilometers from Novi Sad. The lake is artificial and was built in 1970 covering an area of 40 hectares and with a depth of 5 meters.
The lake can be reached quite easily: – via Ruma, asphalt road. The water is emerald green color and is very clean, it is also rich in fish. Fishing from a boat on the lake is prohibited, as well as night fishing.
If you are a fisherman this lake is the right choice for you, because you may come across large examples of catfish, perch, carp, and whitefish. You can fish on three rods with a maximum of two hooks, and each fish that is heavier than 8 kilos must be returned to the water.
If you just want a good time or rest, we heartily recommend this lake. As part of the lake there is a cafe from which you can enjoy the magic and beauty of the lake and its surroundings.
